launched in 1990 with HQ in Beijing, is one of the 5 earliest foreign-related intellectual property agencies authorized by the government of the People’s Republic of China.
With the backing of the Chinese government, we were formerly known as China Trademark Service, an institution under State Administration for Industry & Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. Following the policy of the State Council concerning separation of government and enterprise in 1999, CTP was incorporated under the administration of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commision of the State Council, and was renamed as China Trademark & Patent Law Office. In 2003, following national policies, CTP was restructured into Company Limited.
Leading the trend, we have always been standing at the top of field since our beginning 30 years ago, providing comprehensive service for intellectual property of foreign companies to enter China and for internationalization of Chinese companies’ intellectual property. Our abundant experience is accumulated from progress of the times and growth of clients, which promotes us evolved into a global influential group with integrated IP service.

Ceremony for celebrating China Trademark Service’s founding. The representatives of State Administration for Industry & Commerce, Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, State Intellectual Property Office, Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Intellectual Property Society etc. and some diplomatic envoys in China with total amount of more than 400 joined the ceremony for congratulation.

China Xinhua Bookstore Association authorized China Trademark & Patent Law Office Co., Ltd. to be the agency for registering “Xinhua Bookstore” trademark in 22 countries. At present, China Xinhua Bookstore Association has obtained the registration certificate of Madrid International Registration Bureau of WIPO.
